COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions

  • If Downhill karting can open this summer what will the experience be like?

The experience of a fun time out won’t change!  We'll just be taking extra precautions to keep you and our staff safe whilst on site.
Having sites operating successfully in New Zealand and South Korea under COVID-19 conditions, we have drawn on proven safety strategies to help develop how we will operate in Calgary.

  • What will your open hours be?

At this stage, we intend to be open every day over summer and into September. Initially, we will open with reduced hours and will adjust as appropriate.

  • What additional safety measures are you taking to encourage good hygiene amongst guests and staff?

We will be managing the flow and the number of people on-site at any one time.

We will have 2 meter markers on the ground around our site to promote social distancing.

Guests will only be able to ride together on the chairlift with people within their own bubble. i.e. same household or cohort.

Our staff are also assigned ‘a bubble’ and will be operating strictly within their respective bubbles.

We have increased the frequency and extent of our cleaning schedules.

We will clean every chair carrier at the start and middle of our operation each day.

We will be washing and disinfecting Karts between every ride.

We will be disinfecting every helmet after use and ready for the next guest. But we recommend bringing your own helmet.

We will have complimentary hand sanitiser for guests and staff at key locations around the complex.

Visual reminders on the importance of practising good hygiene will be displayed in key areas. These include social distancing, hand sanitizing and wearing masks.
We will continue to adapt and update our actions as needed. We encourage everyone to keep up to date with information from the AHS and the Alberta Government, available at
